“Kimi No Nawa” to finally release in PH

Japanese hit anime film “Kimi No Nawa.” (Your Name) will  finally be released in Philippine cinemas this week. The movie will be shown starting December 14 according the SM Cinema website.

Pioneer Films has also confirmed the release date. It was also announced that the list of cinemas which will be showing the movie will be released on December 13 .

It was previously announced that movie’s release date is still pending due booking issues related to the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival.

“Kimi No Nawa.” (your name.) is the latest Japanese animated film written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. Released last August 26 in Japan, it has earned USD 175.8 million at the box office, surpassing Hayao Miyazaki’s Howl’s Moving Castle and it is now the second highest-grossing anime film in Japan.
