Japanese entertainment company Bandai Namco Holdings has announced in a press release that it will open an overseas subsidiary in the Philippines.
Provisionally named as Bandai Philippines, Inc., its primary purpose will be the production of vending machine capsule products & action figures in a 26,000 sq meter – factory to be located at the Lima Technology Center in Malvar, province of Batangas.
According to press release, the new factory in the Philippines will realize the stable supply of price competitive products, which leads to strengthen BANDAI’s competitiveness from production side, to be the most powerful and unique company in the character merchandising business.
Bandai Hong Kong had invested a total of Php 400 million for the project and construction is scheduled to start this October. It is expected to be fully operational by summer of next year.
