Local film distributor Movie Punch urged fans to “make noise” in order for Warner Bros. Japan, the producer of the film, hear the “calls” to release Rurouni Kenshin live-action film in the Philippines.

The comment was made last weekend on page liker’s request to release the box office hit film in the country. Movie Punch also noted the petition which they posted in their official Facebook page last week .

We were inspired by fans like you, so we are really pursuing this, pls bear with us, we posted the petition to encourage the fans to make noise so they (the Japanese producers) can hear us here in the Philippines.

Movie Punch also asked for patience to all awaiting fans as negotiations are still on-going. They don’t want to rush the premiere date of the film as it is ” beyond their control to decide right now.” The Japanese producers were already assessing  Movie Punch’s profile and already listening to the “calls” in which they noted it as “good news.”  They already awaiting the results of the assessment.

Movie Punch further revealed that the Philippines is not included in the 64 countries where the film will be screened internationally and the producers of the film have no interest in showing the film here locally but Movie Punch believed that the film needs to be shown as millions of fans “extremely” waited for the film’s release here.

Movie Punch assured that they will immediately announce any updates to their Facebook page especially once they were already given the “go signal.”
