At the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2012 live event held on October 7, it was announced that slice of life/drama anime series Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai will be getting a second season due to April 2013.

It was announced also that anime studio A-1 Pictures will now be in-charged of the production instead of AIC Build due scheduling reasons but producer Kashiwagi Shinichiro said that original staff members will be gathered for the project.

Synopsis
Living on the shadow of his prodigious younger sister, Kyousuke Kosaka conducts a normal lifestyle until he accidentally finds out that she hides a secret. In addition to being smart, pretty, and popular; Kirino Kosaka is also an obsessive consumer of anime and eroge (adult computer games).
