The official website for Shingeki No Kyojin has announced that the live-action film adaptation of the series will be created with a new project team.

Storyborder and special effects director Shinji Higuchi will now handle the movie project after Tetsuya Nakashima  left the position last December. The release date of the movie, which is supposedly next year, is moved to 2015 as filming will start summer next year.

Higuchi has involved as the storyboarder of the Evangelion series and its reboot movies. He also served as the special effects director for sci fi Kaiju films Gamera and director for the recent Nobō no Shiro film.
