The Embassy of Japan in Manila is once again accepting entries for the annual Jpop Anime Singing Contest and for this year, they are now opening the competition, not only to singers but also to amateur dancers.
The Jpop Anime Singing and Dance Singing Contest aims to continue its thrust to promote friendship and cultural exchange between the Philippines and Japan through music.
The contest has two categories, the Singing category and the Dancing Category, and both categories are open to all Filipino singers and dancers.
Participants in the singing category can perform as solo or as a group not exceeding 4 members. They can either play any musical instrument, perform a capella or perform with an instrumental music provided that the soundtrack came from original CDs.
For the dance category, participants must consist of 5 members performing any Jpop or anime song in Japanese provided the soundtrack used came from original CDs.
Interested participants must submit the necessary requirements personally or via courier to JICC, Embassy of Japan, 2627 Roxas Blvd, Pasay City. Deadline of submission is on May 23, 2014.
Chosen entries will compete in the Jpop Anime Singing and Dance Singing Contest Finals scheduled on July 19, 2014. Venue to be announced.
The event is in celebration of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Month this coming July.
