After the successful red carpet premiere of Rurouni Kenhin: Kyoto Inferno premiered at Cinema 9 at SM Megamall, next is the Press Conference held at Event Center, Glorietta Mall.
The director and the three main cast were flown in all the way from Japan just so that they can meet and address their Filipino fans who have supported the franchise.
As early as 8am in the morning of August 7, 2014, fans are already lining up to get a glimpse of the main cast and director of Rurouni Kenshin, taking a good position and wait until the press conference start at 6pm.
Fans form all over Philippines came to this once-in-a-lifetime event. People from Davao region and Pangasinan where there to witness it and show their support not only for the movie, but for the cast itself.
While waiting for the main cast and director arrived, their was a special performance by the Philippine All Stars, cosplayers cosplaying the whole cast of Rurouni Kenshin, Shinkendo Philippines and Ms. Sam Oh, interviewed fans all over the stage asking if they have any amazing Rurouni Kenshin merchandises.
At exactly half pass six in the evening, the main cast and the director has arrived at the venue. Loud screams where received by them when the audience saw them on he big screen on their way to the main stage.
Present at the press conference were: Takeru Satoh, who played the title role of Himura Kenshin, Munetaka Aoki, as Sanosuke Sagara, and lastly their film director, Keishi Otomo. Emi Takei,, the actress who played Kamiya Kaoru, who wasn’t present at the press conference for she has important matters to attend to.
Their arrival on the stage was met with the cheers and screams of their many fans, all awestruck to see the people who have given life to the interesting and colorful characters from the movie. The audience went absolutely crazy when the cast addressed them with some Filipino greetings, like “Kumusta,” and “Salamat po.”
The press were given the opportunity to ask them questions, mostly about about their feelings and thoughts on the movie and their expectations of the sequel. They went on to thank their Filipino fans for their huge support they have give them since their arrival here in Manila and encourage them to watch the two upcoming movies which were part of the sequel, mainly, Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno and Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends.
After the conference, they were quickly whisked away, and the audience and fans eventually dispersed but the excitement still stayed with them as they were glad to have been witness to such a rare event. All were looking forward to the first part of the sequel, Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno, which will be showing in theaters all around the Philippines on August 20, and the second, Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends, to be shown on September 24.
