AKB48 Team 8 returns to Manila for MNL48 Grand Audition

Japan’s popular idol group AKB48 is going back to Manila to perform at MNL48’s Grand Registration and Audition this December.

Members of AKB48’s sub-unit, Team 8: Honda Hitumi, Hidaritomo Ayaka, Yokomichi Yuri, Nagano Serika, Ota Nao, Nakano Ikumi and Hitumi Kotone will be gracing the last leg of MNL48’s registration tour, which will happen on December 2 and 3 at ABS-CBN Compound in Quezon City.

The group is also making an appearance in several ABS-CBN shows like the noontime program “It’s Showtime”, where the MNL48 idol search will be aired.

This is the third time that the group will perform in Manila. Their first live performance was held at Cool Japan Festival in 2015 and the second one happened in Market! Market! mall last year.
