(Updated 2/11) Philippine television network ABS-CBN has started airing a promotional video revealing that Japanese hit anime film “your name.” (Kimi No Na wa.) will air on channel soon.
The video will premiere on channel’s “Kapamilya Blockbuster Family Weekend”, which airs every Sunday at 10:30 AM but it doesn’t mention when it will premiere. It is previewed that the movie will be aired in Filipino-dubbed.
A new promotional video aired on Sunday reveals that the movie is scheduled to premiere on February 18, Sunday at 10:15 AM. This is the first time that the movie will be shown on Philippine television.
The movie was released in Philippine theaters in 2016.
“Your name.” is the latest Japanese animated film written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. Released last August 26 in Japan, it has earned USD 175.8 million at the box office, surpassing Hayao Miyazaki’s Howl’s Moving Castle and it is now the second highest-grossing anime film in Japan.
