HBO’s pan-asian movie channel RED is set to air two Japanese live-action films this August.
Hyouka: Forbidden Secret and Kamen Teacher will premiere on channel’s “Stay Home Friday” movie block on August 17 and 24, respectively
Stay Home Friday airs every Friday at 10PM.
Based on a mystery novel written by Honobu Yonezawa, Hyouka tells the story of freshman student Hotaro Oreki as he decides to join the Classic Literature Club upon the recommendation of his sister. With a fellow club member Eru Chitanda, they begin to reveal the truth related to a classic anthology named Hyouka, their school and school festival.
Kamen Teacher tells a story of Gouta Araki, a special instructor in the Kamen Teacher Program which gives problem schools a complete overhaul. When he dons a mask, Araki becomes “Kamen Teacher Hayato Jumonji”, a hero for justice who brings light to troubled schools by putting down delinquents. The series is based on manga series of the same name by Tooru Fujisawa.
Red by HBO is available in the Philippines on Cignal Channel 50 and Skycable Channel 74.
