Filipino idol group MNL48 unveiled on Tuesday the members of Tokyo Girls Collection’s new fashion group ‘TGC Senbatsu.’
The new group is composed of former MNL48 members Ella Amat and Gia Muse. It also includes former Second Generation candidates: Sam Tagana, Trish Labrador, Nile Casitas, Frances Pinlac, Jean Guinto, Karla Dela Paz, Mela Magbanlac and Princess Briquillo.
According to the post, this new group will be the endorsers of Japan’s ‘kawaii’ brands, which will be sold at the Tokyo Girls Collection Shop.
Apart from being endorsers, the girls are also members of the MNL48’s Kenkyuusei, a term used for members-in-training.
The Tokyo Girls Collection Shop is a partnership between Japanese company W Tokyo and Hallohallo Inc. It will feature apparel, accessories, wigs and other fashion products from Japan. The shop will also hold regular events such as fashion shows and other events using its built-in runway.
It was announced that the shop is expected to open this May at Ayala Vertis North in Quezon City.
