The country’s largest and most anticipated cosplay convention is back for its 11th iteration this year.
Organized by the country’s premiere event organizer, Cosplay.ph, Cosplay Mania will take place on September 28 and 29 at the SMX Convention Center Manila located in Pasay City.
This year’s Cosplay Mania, they are bringing Japan’s best music artists like Yasutaka Nakata, Ichigo Rinahamu, ASAKA, MYTH & ROID and May’n to perform at the much-anticipated JAM (Japan Anime Music) Concert happening at the SP Hall.
Cosplay Mania has also invited two of the famous Japanese stage actors from the Haikyuu! Stage Play, Allen Kohatsu and Kousuke Asuma.
Japanese voice actresses like Motoko Kumai and Rumi Okubo, who famously known for voicing Syaoran Li of Cardcaptor Sakura anime series and Astolfo of Fate/Apocrypha, respectively are also coming to the event.
Completing the list of guests are renowned international cosplayers BoiledCurry, REA KAMI and VENaS Japan, Hiroto Kuromasu, a popular cosplayer of Cybird Ikemen Series, Japanese DJs Hige Driver and 29Meat, and Virtual Youtuber Mirai Akari.
Over 100 local and international exhibitors ranging from costumes, toys, collectibles are spread across the three Function Rooms, called the EX Hall. Japanese companies such as Good Smile, Banpresto, Bandai and Lumica are also present to showcase their exclusive merchandise.
The event also features various activities such as the fan meeting and autograph session with the guests. There are also contests which cater to cosplayers particularly the Cosplay Mania Cup, Cosplay Solo Showdown and Cosplay Masquerade.
