‘Jigoku Shoujo’ live-action film coming to PH this February

The live-action film adaptation of Japanese horror anime series ‘Jigoku Shoujo’ is coming to Philippine cinemas this February.

The film trailer is posted on the Viewers’ Choice Philippines Facebook with the caption “What if there’s a way to bring your bully to HELL. Are you ready for the consequences? #HELLGIRL in theaters this February.”

‘Jigoku Shoujo’ or widely known as Hell Girl is based on the popular original anime of the same name released in 2005. It focuses on the existence of a supernatural system that allows people to take revenge by having other people sent to Hell.

The film features fashion model and actress Tina Tamashiro as the protagonist Ai Enma, alongside Manami Hashimoto as Hone Onna, Raiku as Ren Ichimoku, and Akaji Maro as Wanyudo.

The film was released in Japan last Fall 2019.
