Upcoming disaster anime series “Japan Sinks: 2020” is coming to Netflix this July.
The 10-episode series is arriving on the platform on July 9 according to the official trailer on the Netflix Youtube channel.

The series follows the story of the Muto family, whose life where put to the test after a major earthquake struck Japan.
“Japan Sinks: 2020” is based on the 1973 best selling novel “Japan Sinks” by Sakyo Komatsu. The original novel inspired two live-action feature film adaptations, released in 1973 and in 2006. It also had a television show, aired in 1975.
It is directed by Masaaki Yuasa, who also directed his first and previous Netflix series “Devilman Crybaby.”
