This year’s highly anticipated anime film “Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night” will be shown soon in the Philippines.
This is according to Singapore-based company Odex via the Odex Philippines Facebook page. The post announced that the film is “coming in 2021”. More details to follow.
The film is set for release in Japan in Fall 2021.
Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night film is a retelling Kirito and Asuna’s adventures at Aincrad floor by floor. It will be based from the light novel series of the same name written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec.
It is directed by Ayako Kouno with Yasuyuki Kai as the action director. A-1 Pictures is producing the film. The voice actors including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Kirito and Haruka Tomatsu as Asuna will reprise their roles in the film.
Metro Manila and nearby Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna and Cavite provinces are currently under the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) by the Philippine government until May 14. During MECQ, theaters and cinemas are not allowed to operate.
