Slam Dunk released on Friday a new trailer as well as the main voice cast members for its upcoming anime film.
The cast includes Shugo Nakamura as Miyagi, Jun Kasama as Mitsui, Shin’ichirō Kamio as Rukawa, Subaru Kimura as Sakuragi, and Kenta Miyake as Akagi.
“The First Slam Dunk” film is set to premiere on December 3 in Japan.
Takehiko Inoue, the creator of the manga is directing the film with Yasuyuki Ebara as character designer and animation director. Other staff includes Yukiko Ban as a sub-character designer, Daiki Nakazawa as CG director, Shunsuke Nakamura as the photography director, Kazuo Ogura as the art director, and Shiori Furosho as a color designer. Toei Animation and Dandelion Animation Studio are producing the film
“Slamdunk” is based on the iconic 90’s basketball manga series created by Takehiko Inoue. The anime series originally aired from 1993 to 1996 in Japan. The series first aired in the country in 1995.
