The Anime and Cosplay Expo (ACX) is set to return on July 20-21, 2024, at the SMX Convention Center Manila, featuring a packed schedule of events and activities. The event, themed “Chapter of Flames,” promises an immersive experience for fans with stage performances, numerous exhibits, and previews of Cosplay Mania and Anisong Artistes.
This year marks the third installment of the “Chronicles of Cosmania” series. ACX, since its inception in 2016, has aimed to provide a memorable gathering for its attendees. New activities include “Shadow Play,” challenging participants to identify characters in the dark, and “Don’t Skip Intro,” testing their knowledge of anime soundtracks.Cosplay contests such as Solo Cosplay Catwalk, Cosplay Karaoke Encore, and Cosplay’s Got Talent will be major highlights. Winners will have the chance to perform as the front act for the upcoming JAM Concert at Cosplay Mania 2024.
For the first time, Anime and Cosplay Expo will host renowned cosplayers Cos AIM and Kurumin-san from Thailand. Both will have stage segments and will be available for meet and greets and autograph signings, providing a unique opportunity for fans.The event will also feature a vibrant marketplace offering trending anime fashion, cosplay items, and collectibles. Attendees can participate in the Cosplay Auction, where items can start for as low as 1 peso, or explore artist tables for unique merchandise like stickers, keychains, and photocards.
Additionally, the event will unveil a lineup of guest cosplayers and performers for the upcoming Cosplay Mania and JAM Concert.
