Anime film “Suzume no Tojimari” receives advance screening in PH

The highly anticipated anime film “Suzume” has recently been granted an advance screening in the Philippines.

The advance screening is scheduled on Saturday, March 4, 6 PM at SM Megamall Cinema 4, ahead of its scheduled release on March 8, 2023.

“Suzume no Tojimari” is written and directed by the renowned anime director Makoto Shinkai, whose works includes “Your Name”, and “Weathering With You”.

It was first released in Japan in November 2022, marking Shinkai’s first film since his last movie in 2019.

The film follows Suzume, a 17-year-old girl who uncovers portal doors that lead to different parts of Japan. She, together with a mysterious young man named Souta embarks on a mission to close the doors and prevent the destruction they bring to the areas they appear in.
