Pioneer Films has recently announced the upcoming release of the 2022 anime film “Lonely Castle in the Mirror” in Philippine cinemas on June 21st.
Originally premiered in Japan on December 23rd, the film serves as an adaptation of Mizuki Tsujimura’s novel titled “Kakami no Kojou.”
“Lonely Castle in the Mirror” centers around the compelling story of Aki, a young girl who faces the challenges of bullying and rejection. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she discovers a mystical mirror that becomes a gateway to the enigmatic Lonely Castle. Within this magical sanctuary, Aki finds solace and a sense of belonging among other individuals who have experienced similar struggles.
The film is directed by Keiichi Hara, together with Miho Maruo as scriptwriter, Keigo Sasaki as character designer and chief animation director. A1 Pictures is animating the film.
The cast includes Ami Touma as Kokoro, Takumi Kitamura as Rion, Sakura Kiryuu as Aki, Rihito Itagaki as Subaru, Naho Yokomizu as Fuka, Minami Takahashi as Masamune, and Yuuki Kaji as Ureshino.
