Muse Asia to hold premiere for “DAN DA DAN” anime in Manila

The highly anticipated anime “DAN DA DAN” will premiere in the Philippines on August 31, as part of a global event spanning over 50 countries and regions. Adapted from Yukinobu Tatsu’s popular manga, the event will feature the first three episodes along with exclusive interviews with producers and voice actors.

In the Philippines, screenings will be organized by Muse Communication. The premiere aims to engage audiences with its blend of sci-fi, horror, and supernatural elements. Muse Communication will also hold similar screenings in Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung, as well as in Hong Kong, Thailand, and Vietnam.

“DAN DA DAN” follows Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult enthusiast. The two characters, holding opposing beliefs in ghosts and aliens, set out to prove each other wrong. Momo explores an abandoned hospital known for UFO sightings, while Okarun visits a haunted tunnel. They encounter paranormal activities that challenge their perceptions, leading Momo to discover her hidden power and Okarun to gain the power of a curse. Together, they face supernatural forces, sparking a story of occult battles and adolescent love.

“DAN DA DAN” manga, serialized in Shueisha’s “Shonen Jump Plus” and updated every Tuesday, has achieved a circulation of 3.2 million copies and over 370 million views. The anime adaptation, directed by Kazuhiro Ozawa, is expected to be a notable series of 2024, offering a compelling experience for fans in the Philippines and worldwide.
