Cosplay Mania, the Philippines’ premier anime and cosplay convention, returns for its 16th edition from October 4-6, 2024, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. This year’s event, themed Zenith in the Clouds, promises to be the largest yet, spanning Halls 1-4 and covering over 9,000 square meters.
Attendees can look forward to special appearances from more than a dozen international guests, appealing to fans of Gundam Seed, Vocaloid, Hololive, Sword Art Online, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and even The Simpsons. Notable cosplayers include Taryn from Italy, Byoru from Vietnam, and Lea from Malaysia. Japan’s renowned Ikémen Series producer and cosplayer Hiroto Kuramasu returns to promote otome culture, while Vtuber fans can meet Hololive Indonesia stars Vestia Zeta and Anya Melfissa, along with Holostars EN members Octavio and Jurard T Rexford.

Over 200 exhibits will showcase exclusive merchandise, from anime-themed apparel to rare collectibles. Fans of Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Hololive can expect to find limited-edition items. Convention-goers will also witness intense competitions, including the Cosplay Mania Cup and Cosplay Karaoke Cup, where top cosplayers vie for prestigious awards.
A major highlight is the JAM Concert, set to electrify the crowd with live performances by top Japanese music acts. Vocaloid producer kz(livetune), known for his hit Tell Your World, and singer-songwriter Chiai Fujikawa, famous for her work in The Rising of the Shield Hero and Digimon Adventure, are headlining. Other notable performers include BRADIO, recognized for their vibrant Yu-Gi-Oh Rush! themes, and sajou no hana, known for their dynamic music in Mob Psych 100 II and Sirius the Jaeger. Fans can also look forward to ASCA, famed for her powerful tracks in Sword Art Online: Alicization, and J-pop icon Nami Tamaki, whose hit song Believe from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED is legendary.
