The debut will take place on October 19, 2024, starting with Magindara, the sardonic sea monster, at 7:00 p.m. Magindara, an intelligent yet menacing mermaid, draws inspiration from the stories passed down by her grandfather about mythical creatures like the diwata and aswang. She hopes to continue her family’s tradition of storytelling through her streaming content.

Following at 8:00 p.m. will be Moshi, a Visayan Leopard Catgirl. As a passionate advocate for Philippine wildlife, Moshi uses her VTuber persona to raise awareness about endangered species, particularly the maral, a Visayan leopard cat. She weaves indigenous beliefs into her character, incorporating themes of environmental preservation and spirituality.

The final debut will be Myon, a mysterious sigbin, at 9:00 p.m. Myon, inspired by the dog-goat hybrid from Filipino folklore, is a fan of monsters and internet lore. He enjoys streaming games and content revolving around the supernatural and pop culture, combining his fascination with folklore and modern entertainment.

Balangay Live, founded to promote Filipino culture through VTubing, has previously debuted two generations of talents. Their new unit, Takipsilim, continues this mission by bringing a blend of folklore and creativity to the virtual stage.

Viewers can catch the debuts on the individual Twitch channels of the three VTubers.
