Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment have officially announced the Philippine theatrical release date for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, the first film of the highly anticipated trilogy that will conclude the globally popular anime series. The film will premiere in cinemas across the Philippines on August 20, 2025, including IMAX® screenings. The North American release is set for September 12.
Produced by renowned studio ufotable, Infinity Castle adapts the final arc of Koyoharu Gotoge’s best-selling manga. The trilogy follows Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps as they confront the powerful demon Muzan Kibutsuji in an ultimate battle inside the demons’ stronghold, the Infinity Castle.
The Demon Slayer franchise has become a global phenomenon since its anime debut in 2019. Its previous film, Mugen Train, holds the record as the highest-grossing Japanese anime film worldwide, earning over $500 million. The series has been praised for its storytelling, dynamic action, and emotional depth.
The Infinity Castle trilogy brings together beloved characters, including Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, and the elite Hashira swordsmen, in the climactic showdown fans have long awaited.
The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga ran from 2016 to 2020, selling over 150 million copies. The anime continues to stream globally on Crunchyroll, with previous arcs including Mugen Train, Entertainment District, Swordsmith Village, and Hashira Training.
